Hi, I’m Cynthia, designer and creator of ‘Making It’. My partner (Josh) and I like making things. We started thinking about things we could design, make and sell from home – things that would showcase our design talent.
We purchased a Makerbot 3D printer and started exploring what we could make. The first cookie cutter we printed was a ladybug for our daughters 1st birthday – we had a ladybug party theme. Our friends and family loved the idea, so I started designing more cookie cutters. I signed up for a craft market to see if there was any interest in our cookie cutter and sold all the popular designs that day.
Our cookie cutters are uniquely designed and made to order, rather than mass produced, reducing the risk of plastic waste.
If you have a fantastic idea for a cookie cutter design please let us know. If it is something that we think our customers will like it we will put it into production. Unfortunately we aren’t able to offer a custom cutter service at this stage.

What is 3D printing:
3D printing, also called additive manufacturing, means making things layer by layer according to a 3D design file. This differs from traditional manufacturing, such as machining, which often involves subtracting a material in order to achieve a certain shape.
